The book fair will be available in Room 108 of the Parish Center. Books make great Easter basket fillers, and gifts for all ages, so be sure to stop by!

Join us TOMORROW, March 21st from 5:00 – 7:00 for the HSA annual Roller Skating Party in support of our Magnificat School Gala!
Cost is $25 per skater. No pre-registration is needed, just pay cash or check at the door. Bring your own skates if you have them, otherwise rentals are included and we will have skate helpers available for use. Students and siblings will also receive arcade tokens.
Proceeds from this event will go towards purchasing items for the Magnificat Gala on behalf of all school families. This event is free to students of those families who paid the All-In or Fundraising Donation.

🏀 The Knights of Columbus were on hand to recognize SMS students who won their annual free throw competition at the council, district, & regional levels with certificates & medals.
☺️ We recognized students & staff members who displayed the virtues of cheerfulness & temperance during the months of February & March.
😇 We awarded certificates to our Diocesan Character Award winners for February & March for showing optimism & self control.

Today is the feast of St. Joseph! Grade 3 went to the church & prayed the Litany of St. Joseph in honor of the feast day, & Mrs. Picone's St. Joseph Faith Family led us in the liturgy at school Mass.
St. Joseph was the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the foster-father of Jesus, & a carpenter. Through his work St. Joseph provided for the Holy Family & shared in the divine plan of salvation. He was a good & patient man. Even though he never speaks in the Bible, St. Joseph was a man of action. He always obeyed God even though he did not always understand. Through his love & care for Jesus & Mary, St. Joseph showed his love for God.

🍀🌈🪄 Oh no… a Leprechaun got into our Montessori Pre-K class today! He caused all sorts of mischief - crossing out the journal prompt for the day, hiding work lists, and leaving green footprints everywhere!
Thankfully he didn’t just make trouble—he left behind some surprises too! Students were excited to find treats waiting for them in their leprechaun traps, shiny gold coins hidden all around the room, and even some yummy marshmallows to enjoy. Happy St Patrick’s Day!

This year our Lenten Project will support Gerard Place, an organization that provides housing, education, life skills training, counseling, and a food pantry for homeless single parents and their families. The current need is for arts and crafts for kids, healthy snacks and easy meal prep items for parents. Please send in items with your children from now until April 1st. There will be bins in the classrooms and those items will be collected and delivered to Gerard Place for Easter. Thank you in advance for your generosity and prayers!

🙏 Join us to PRAY... this St. Mary School tradition continues under the direction of Mrs. Katie Bishop with our 5th grade’s reverent presentation of the Living Stations of the Cross at 6:30 pm on Friday, 3/27 in the school gym. This is a beautiful time to reflect on our faith, & a truly moving experience. Come prepared for a reverent, prayerful start to the evening that will help focus your heart & mind in this season of Lent.
🍦🎯 Then join us to PLAY... when Stations of the Cross are done, please stay & help us raise money for a good cause during Lent... Catholic Charities! Kids of all ages can enjoy games & activities costing just 50 cents to $1. Ice cream treats will be available for $1-3. Our famous CAKE WALK also happens at this event! The kids will love going home with a
cake (or 2!) that they get to choose after being a winner at the “walk” - it’s a must do! The PIE IN THE FACE activity is also always a hit, come prepared to pie some St. Mary’s staff!
A few years ago SMS was the “Catholic Charities Cup” winner because of this event, come help us give hope to those in need in our community, & regain our title as champions!

🐝 We have another pair of #Buzzworthy student athletes to share...
🏒1st grader, Truett P.'s hockey team, the Kraken Mites, won the Buffalo Regals Mite Championship recently! Truett was asked to step in as goalie right before the semifinal game, & played goal again in the Championship game to lead the Kraken Mites to 1st place.
📣 2nd grader Isla D.'s All Star Competition Cheer Team went to Canada recently and won 1st place! The team is 2 for 2 for 1st place wins, as they also won in Syracuse in Dec. The team also competed in Pittsburgh, have a competition in Rochester this weekend, & was invited to Nationals in Ohio in April.
Great job to both of our busy, buzzworthy athletes!
