Miss Sanderson's grade 3 class took advantage of the nice weather today by working on #SocialStudies outside on our beautiful campus! Students are practicing extracting and classifying information while learning about types of houses around the world.
Our 8th graders got back to the hotel early last night and decided on a pick up game of kickball!

Grade 4 welcomed a new (junior) teacher for the day yesterday... Miss Palladino! Miss Palladino helped Miss Kerwin with planning & teaching her daily classes, dressed down for the day, enjoyed lunch with Miss Kerwin, Mrs. Gengo & a friend, & received a junior teacher goodie bag. She also led the "spider web challenge" in Science Class - great job Miss Palladino! Our grade 3/4 soccer team played so well this evening in their game at Fort Niagara against St. Peter's! They came back in the last 2 minutes to tie it up for a final score of 4-4, & went for some well deserved ice cream along the Niagara River afterwards! #soccer #youthsports

The special student got a dress down pass, the chance to bring their favorite stuffed animal around the school, chose a special snack & movie for the class, & completed animal themed activities throughout the day! Tonight (5/22) is the last set of talks with St. Mary's Parish Mission guest speaker, Karlo Broussard. Karlo's talk at 6:30 p.m. is entitled, DEFENDING MORAL TRUTH IN A MORAL SHAME CULTURE. He will follow with a second presentation at 7:50 p.m., THE NEW RELATIVISM: UNMASKING THE PHILOSOPHY OF TODAYāS WOKE MORALISTS.
St. Mary's has been blessed to have such a renown, knowledgeable, and faith-filled speaker with us as part of our 175th Anniversary celebration.
Mrs. Catherine Friedman, a parishioner at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was a guest speaker for grade 6 this am. She shared the story of Our Lady of Fatima's apparitions in 1917 to three shepherd children in Portugal, in preparation for the class's field trip to the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima tomorrow.
