First Friday Adoration has had to be canceled for Friday, May 3, 2024. ANIMA CHRISTI: Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within your wounds conceal me. Do not permit me to be parted from you. From the evil foe protect me. At the hour of my death call me. A nd bid me come to you, to praise you with all your saints for ever and ever. Amen.

Profe Maria's Spanish classes have been busy the past few weeks completing lessons on clothing. Grade 5 constructed camisetas (t-shirts) for stuffed animals, while grade 6 researched what makes different Spanish speaking countries unique, and then designed camisetas for the countries they chose based on their unique features & cultural aspects. #Spanish #culture #enrichment

Teens from St. Mary's and St. Teresa's had a great time at Making Connections! They enjoyed time with new friends from around the diocese, joined in service projects, learned how to remain in Christ through changes and challenges in life, and ended the day celebrating Mass with Bishop Mike and Fr. Bryan.

Grade 6 led us in the liturgy at school Mass on Friday morning. Father Art reminded us all how we should be exploding with joy, and on fire in our hearts for the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist at Mass!

Our Grade 6 boys submitted their 2024 Erie County Rain Barrel Competition piece this month! The Erie County Department of Environment & Planning invites schools & youth groups in Erie and Niagara counties to participate in a rain barrel painting contest annually. A rain barrel collects and stores rain water from your roof that would otherwise flow across lawns, driveways, roads and parking lots – picking up dirt, oil, fertilizers, and other chemicals along the way before emptying into storm drains or streams.  The contest rain barrels are converted from donated 55-gallon food-grade drums. Contaminated storm-water runoff is the #1 cause of pollution in our waterways. Rain barrels help reduce the volume of runoff, and therefore its potential to convey pollutants.  The rain barrel painting project helps students learn more about how to protect water quality in our rivers, streams and lakes. #EarthDay #April #RainBarrels #waterquality

Mrs. Witkowski's Grade 2 Science class was buzzing yesterday! Students constructed bees out of fuzzy materials like pom poms or cotton balls to mimic a real bee's anatomy, then tested how well the bees they made were able to transfer pollen from one flower to another. Bees are a vital part of our ecosystem because of their impact on pollination! #EarthDay #savethebees

We couldn't let this day go by without wishing a very happy Administrative Professionals Day to our own Mrs. Margaret Terrill! Mrs. Terrill is the one who answers the phones, and your ring at the doorbell. She problem solves, organizes, multi-tasks, and lends a helping hand and listening ear. You might even hear her on the afternoon announcements once in awhile! She brings her cheery personality and compassionate attitude to our front desk, and in turn our whole school. We are so blessed to have you Mrs. Terrill, thank you for all you do in your many roles in our school and parish!
